Veränderungen in Software O.4.2.0, vom 23.04.2012

Neue Features

  • Inkrementelles Backup ist jetzt verfügbar (Backupdateien sind nur für je ein Olive Gerät speicherbar).
  • Windows Media Player kann nun als MUSIK RESSOURCE angewählt werden.
  • Tastatur unterstützt nun den Unterstrich.

  • Enorme Performance- und Stabilitätsverbesserungen der Backup/Restore Routine.

Veränderungen in Software O.4.1.9 and M.4.1.9, vom 06.02.2012

New Features

  • Upload cover art directly from the Olive server. Simply tab through the cover art displayed on the touch panel to select new cover art.
  • Quicker access to album titles by pressing the track title on the Play screen.
  • Upload and transmit error logs to Olive without the need of a USB flash drive.
  • Only currently available internet radio stations will be displayed. Tested bi-weekly for added accuracy.
  • PC and MAC browser interface now mirror the touch panel entirely.

Neue Features

  • Up to 5 different metadata options will be displayed with the option to choose during CD ripping

  • User can manually enter the album and artist name of the inserted CD if no metadata or the wrong metadata is found
  • The album artwork search engine has been changed to Google images for improved accuracy, options, and image quality
  • Option to update the time and date through the internet (O3HD: date/time can now be displayed)

Veränderungen in Software O.4.1.6 and M.4.1.6, vom 10.05.2011

New Features

  • Artwork can now be searched by an entire phrase not only by the first letter
  • System automatically detects if a software update is available (can be turned OFF/ON within settings – default is set to ON)
  • O6HD headphone output not muted any longer when system is muted
  • Backup drive no longer needs to be formatted to FAT32 – system automatically formats the drive (Note: formatting deletes complete content on backup drive)

Improvements and bug fixes

  • Shuffle playback limitation / sequential order is resolved
  • Sampler albums are no longer split up within the artwork navigation
  • Issues with freezing up during backup/restore process have been addressed
  • Unknown CDs now show as Track1, Track2, etc.
  • Albums can now be deleted completely within any category
  • Play timer no longer stops in certain scenarios when using the artwork navigation
  • Special characters now show correctly within the artwork title list
  • If a new playlist is created, the list will automatically update and be displayed


Veränderungen in Software O.4.1.5 and M.4.1.5, vom 03.03.2011

New Features

  • Tapping on the artwork cover within the artwork navigation will list the tracks of the selected album
  • Network password is preset if network was entered before (doesn't apply to the O2M/Melody)
  • File type, bit depth and more details are shown when the quality bar is selected within the detailed playscreen (down button will also activate this informational window)
  • A complete album can be added to a playlist

Improvements and bug fixes

  • If system can't find the metadata of a CD it will time out and show as unknown
  • Network name can contain special characters like - ' (not + : and &)
  • Artwork cover browsing is more responsive
  • Switching to HDMI and back will now stay within the menu and not go back to the start screen
  • Japanese and French language corrections
  • Interference with other remote controls resolved
  • Pop sound between HD tracks resolved

Veränderungen in Software O.4.1.3 and M.4.1.3, vom 26.08.2010

Features:

  • Neue Internet Radio Interface (Finden Sie eine Station nicht? Wir fügen jeden Tag neue Stationen hinzu. Schicken Sie uns einfach eine email an myStation@olive.us)
  • Die Musik kann nun auch über den Komponist gesucht werden.
  • Zusätzliche Sprachen wurden hinzugefügt: Koreanisch, Japanisch, Finisch
  • Der Regular System Check wird nun im Schlafmodus durchgefuehrt. Ein Beispiel: Der Anwender drueckt den Schlaf-/Weck-Knopf um das Geraet in den Schlafmodus zu versetzen - falls das Geraet einen System Check durchfuehren will dann fragt es den Kunden ob es ein geeigneter Zeitpunkt ist. Der Kunde kann bis zu 5 mal den System Check verschieben, danach fuehrt das Geraet ihn automatisch durch.
  • Der Status des System Check wird durch einen Ladebalken angezeigt.
  • Der Name des Olive Geraetes (festgelegt unter Systemeinstellungen > Netzwerk) wird nun im Netzwerk angezeigt.
  • Falls ein USB Medium angeschlossen wird kommt ein Pop-Up mit den folgenden Optionen: Import, Backup, Restore, Software update (Hinweis: Die Import Funktion ist nur fuer spezielle Olive-Playlisten gedacht, die am Ende des Jahres zum Verkauf angeboten werden sollen.)

  • Internet Radio Text Eingabe scrolled wenn die Eingabe laenger ist als das Eingabefeld.
  • Detailiertere Fehlermeldungen beim Backup/Restore/SW-Upgrade/CD-Burning
  • Das Popup "Kopieren von X Titeln erfolgreich abgeschlossen." kann nun mit der Fernbedienung geschlossen werden.
  • Zusammenlegen zweier CDs in Maestro: Das Sortieren wird nun zuerst nach allen Titeln der ersten CD und dann der zweiten CD durchgefuehrt (Zuvor: erster Titel der ersten CD gefolgt vom ersten Titel der zweiten CD usw.) Hinweis: Bitte pflegen Sie die Felder "Disc Number" und "Total Discs" in Maestro)
  • Es werden mehr als 64 Playlisten in Maestro und auf Ihrem Olive angezeigt.


Veränderungen in Software O.4.1.2 and M.4.1.2, vom 07.04.2010

New Features

  • New Artwork Screen with alphabetic search by artist, album, composer or work
  • New backup, restore, update notification screen
  • New ripping, encoding and burning notification screen (to be found under SYSTEM SERVICES > SYSTEMS SERVICES)
  • Selecting the network icon will now bring up the network information screen if you are already connected to a network
  • Error logging feature allows users to create an error log for better support.
  • Network wizard shows more detailed error messages if device cannot log into network.

Improvements and bug fixes

  • CD burning speed has been reduced to 12X to allow burning with sub-optimal CD-R media.
  • Pausing playback now can be activated from anywhere within the menu (except while browsing none olive external sources)
  • Internet radio shows no longer old metadata when new station is selected
  • Holding down rewind button will not make the countdown timer go past its starting point.
  • Deleting a playlist won't stop playback any more
  • Playlist shows more than 64 items.
  • CD ejects consistently after ripping is complete.
  • Playback in shuffle mode does not stop after 2 or 3 songs.
  • HD music issues resolved:
    • Intermittent audio skips with some sampling rates has been resolved (e.g. Hyperion tracks).
    • HD tracks and regular tracks in the same playlist do not cause distortion any more.
    • Burning 24bit WAV tracks to standard audio CD is now possible.
  • The search button on the Olive 4HD remote control now works properly
  • External Media Server:
    • The unit is now fully compatible with Windows Media Player over UPNP
    • The unit is now compatible with Twonky version 4+ over UPNP
  • Intermittent hard drive spin up in sleep mode has been resolved.
  • Taking a unit out of deep sleep mode takes a long time: New behavior will turn on LCD first while continuing with drive spin up.
  • HDMI is now turned off when system enters power save/sleep.
  • Removed Infrared code pages to reduce interference with other remote controls.

Known bugs

  • Search result won't show more than 64 items (resumes at 64th item of the current search container).
  • Keyboard input exceeds the screen after a certain length is reached.
  • Burning a playlist while a track is played from it will not work.


Veränderungen in Software O.4.1.1 and M.4.1.1, vom 28.01.2010

New Features

  • Redesigned popup-menu for the play screen with the ability to burn/delete a complete album and create a new playlist
  • Redesigned popup-menu for when a CD is inserted with the option to eject the CD
  • The Olive 4 can now be accessed with iTunes (note: FLAC is not supported by iTunes)
  • MAESTRO Software
    • An alphabet jump for the artwork view is now available
    • Possibility to change the artwork within the edit section within the tab “Recording”
    • Tracks are accessible and editable within their own list
    • A search has been implemented for artists, albums, tracks and playlists

  • Shuffle algorithm changed in order to prevent the playback from stopping after a few songs

    • Genres will populate properly when you click on the genre menu item. This takes an additional ~2 seconds to load the top level of genres.

  • In ALBUM COVER VIEW, the last album can now be selected for playback
  • CD recognition and playback improved

New feature

  • When importing classical FLAC music files from PC, the artist field is mapped to the composer lastname field, also the album title is mapped to the work title, to facilitate editing and to avoid long "unknown composer" and "unknown work" lists.

  • After network setup is complete a new pop-up window displays all necessary status information
  • The MAESTRO music management software has been completely redesigned to improve usability

Remaining known issues

  • Compatibility with Apple Airport wireless router:
    • WPA/WPA2 encryption mode not supported for all routers
    • WEP and Enterprise modes are not supported yet
  • Software update bar stops unfinished in some circumstances, although software update has been complete
  • Backup & restore does not work with all USB hard drives
  • Album Artwork fails to show up in rare instances
